The FP120SM is a pneumatic cutting unit for cutting technical textiles and composite materials with high thickness, even multi-layered.

It is the most powerful Rasor cutting unit ever produced. Thanks to the latest generation mechanical and pneumatic components, the compressed air motor achieves a power of 800 W at 15,500 rpm and a very high torque. It is an absolute monster of power and performance. Recently launched on the market, it uses the new motor support geometry of the Monster series.

Unlike all other cutting units, the FP120SM has a motor support held by a central foot, positioned behind the blade in a central position. This system distributes the cutting effort and the effort required for the machine to pass through the material, on both sides of the cutter. The result is a perfectly straight cut advancement with less effort.

The blade is free for half of its diameter on both sides, a feature that avoids winding problems (winding of threads behind the blade) with the toughest fibers. For this reason, the FP120SM is particularly suitable for cutting composite materials such as fiberglass, carbon fiber and Kevlar. With a 120 mm 8-sided blade, it can cut any "flexible" material up to a maximum thickness of 50 mm. The semi-automatic push-button sharpening system allows the blade to be sharpened in less than 10 seconds, without disassembling it. The high torque and low blade speed allow it to also cut rubbery and plastic-based materials in the field of heavy carpets and flooring.

The FP120SM is also capable of cutting rubber, plastic, and polymeric materials. Particularly suitable for transverse cutting, the FP120SM adapts to installations in confined spaces and is equipped with a simple anchoring flange to be fixed on fixed or automated brackets. The cutting base, coated with non-stick Teflon®, allows the machine to advance effortlessly, reducing friction between the base itself and the material, and allows the unit to be installed on sliding rails.

For continuous trimming processes, the FP120SM is also available in a right-hand (mirror) version, model FP120M. FP120SM, record-breaking performance and power for your O.E.M. applications.
