BEGINNER COURSE

Short course

€350

12 lessons of 3h · 1 time a week · 3 months
Never sewn before? You know how to sew but want to pick it up again or improve? Just want to try it out?

This course is designed for anyone who wants to have a sewing experience without a major commitment: those who have never held a needle and want to discover where to start, those who knew how to sew and want to confidently get back into it, or those who simply want to deepen or brush up on the basics.

We will welcome you to the GDG store in Turin, set you up with a professional machine, and start together, from wherever you are.

In 12 three-hour lessons, once a week, you will learn, or regain, confidence in using a sewing machine.
It's not just about making the fabric advance: it's about understanding how the machine works, how to create a pattern, and how to construct a garment that truly stands up.

The program includes the creation of patterns for skirts, trousers, and blouses, which you will make yourself.

A practical experience, designed to give visible results from the very first lessons, no matter your starting point.

Patterns and technical drawings for 4 skirts, 2 trousers, 1 blouse
Construction of 1 skirt, 1 simple pair of trousers, 1 blouse
Technical samples (pockets, sleeves, etc.) for those who complete the program

AMATEUR/HOBBYIST COURSE

Cultivate your passion

€999

40 lessons of 3 hours each · 1 time per week · 10 months
Cultivate Your Passion is the course for those who love sewing and want to truly grow

With this course, you can refine your technique, understand the reasoning behind each choice, and tackle increasingly ambitious garments.

It's a long and structured journey: 40 in-depth lessons, once a week, because sewing isn't learned quickly. But each lesson adds something tangible.

We cover patterns and the construction of skirts, trousers, and shirts.

If you wish to proceed further, you can access the second module where we move on to more structured garments: dresses, jackets, and coats, all custom-made. It's a significant leap in quality, both technical and practical, which allows you to work on complex garments with the confidence of someone who knows what they're doing. (an additional 10 months, following)

The program is divided into two modules:

Module 1 (40 lessons):
Pattern making and construction of skirts, trousers, shirts

Module 2 (additional 40 lessons):
Pattern making and construction of dresses, jackets, coats
All garments custom-made

SEMI-PROFESSIONAL COURSE

Become an expert

€190/month

10 months · Twice a week · 3-hour lessons
A complete path to total sewing mastery.

Ten months to learn how to sew properly. This isn't a slogan, it's what truly happens in this course.

This is the most comprehensive course we offer: designed for those who want to reach a semi-professional level, with a solid foundation, precise technique, and the awareness of someone who understands why they do what they do.

It's not enough to know how to use a machine; you need to understand the fabric, construct custom patterns, and tackle the most complex construction details with method and confidence.

The program includes the custom creation of increasingly challenging garments: skirts, trousers, shirts, dresses, vests, jackets, and coats with advanced construction details.

Two lessons a week, for a total of 80 lessons: a serious commitment that yields serious results.

You will work with the best machines from the GDG store, guided by a professional instructor and the presence of a technician who knows every machine in detail and will guide you in choosing and using the right tools.

Custom garment making: skirts, trousers, shirts, dresses, vests

Instead of taking it to the tailor, come to me.

In three hours, you'll learn to repair seams, hems, and zippers with your own hands... and next time, you'll already know how to do it yourself.

Do you have something that needs repairing? A zipper, an unstitched hem, a seam that has come undone. Instead of taking it to the tailor or leaving it in a drawer, choose this course: in three hours, you'll know how to repair it with your own hands.

This lesson is 100% practical.
We will guide you step by step, on the machine, to tackle every type of repair; we don't follow theory: we do.

At the end of the lesson, you don't just leave with the item repaired. You leave with an extra skill, and next time it happens, you'll already know how to do it yourself.

SINGLE APPOINTMENT COURSE

A serger is a wonderful machine. But most people who own one are afraid to touch it because threading seems like a puzzle, adjusting it is a challenge, and when something goes wrong, you don't know where to start.

That's exactly why we created this lesson.

In two hours, at the shop in Turin, we will teach you everything you need to use your serger with complete autonomy: how to thread it correctly with 3 or 4 threads, how to adjust tensions based on the fabric, how to set stitch length and width, and how to create a rolled hem/birillino stitch.

You will leave this lesson with something tangible: your serger will no longer be intimidating.

Who are these courses for?

GDG courses are for anyone who wants to learn to sew, or who wants to improve their skills. No prior experience is needed to start, and there's no limit to how far you can go.

This is the right course for you if:

• You've never sewn before and want to learn the basics, calmly and without feeling lost
• You already have some knowledge but feel you lack the technique to do things really well
• You love sewing as a hobby and want to tackle more ambitious projects
• You want to learn how to construct your own garments, choose the right fabrics, and not depend on a tailor
• You have a sewing machine or overlocker at home and never use it because you don't know where to start
• You want to learn how to repair your clothes independently
• You dream of turning your passion for sewing into a professional skill

It's not necessary to follow a specific order between levels: each course is designed to be complete and independent.

Together, we'll find the most suitable path for you.

Why choose one of our courses

GDG courses are not like ordinary school courses. They take place directly in our Turin store: a professional space, with the best machines on the market, the right materials, and the experience of those who truly know sewing machines.

There are a few things that set us apart:

The machines are professional. You learn on the same models we sell, Jack, Juki, and other industry brands. Not school equipment: professional tools that make every lesson more effective and more satisfying. (If you prefer, you can bring your own machine to learn how to use it better)

Materials are included. Threads and fabrics are provided by GDG for all courses. You don't have to buy anything; there are no hidden costs. Just bring your desire to learn.

Groups are small. Each course has a limited number of participants to ensure that each person receives the time and attention they deserve.

There's a dedicated team to support you. During the courses, you will have a professional instructor to guide you through sewing techniques, supported by a technician who knows every machine in detail and will introduce you to the tools you will use, explaining their qualities, characteristics, and how to make the most of them. You don't just learn to sew: you learn to work with the right machines, in the right way.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I participate even if I'm starting from scratch?

Absolutely. The "Start from Scratch" Beginner course is designed precisely for those who have never sewn before.

We begin with the machine itself, how to thread it, how it works, taking nothing for granted. No prior experience is needed, just a willingness to learn.

Do I need to have a sewing machine or materials?

No, you don't need to bring anything. The professional machines are those from the GDG store, the same ones we sell, the best on the market. Yarns and fabrics are provided by us for all courses. You just bring yourself and the desire to start.
If you prefer, you can bring your own machine to learn how to use it best.

How long do the courses last and how much commitment do they require?

It depends on the path you choose.

The Beginner course lasts 3 months with one 3-hour lesson per week.

The Amateur course lasts 10 months, always one lesson per week.

The Semi-professional course takes 10 months with two 3-hour lessons per week.

Individual lessons are by appointment and last 2 or 3 hours.

In all cases, the pace will be sustainable, consistent, and effective.

How do payments work?

Payment methods vary depending on the type of course chosen.

Payment can be made in a single upfront payment or, for higher amounts, in multiple installments.

Deferred payment solutions are also available for specific needs; terms and conditions are defined directly with the Management upon enrollment.

If I miss a class, can I make it up?

Yes, as far as possible.

For the 12-lesson Beginner course, up to 2 make-up lessons are allowed, to be arranged together.

For the 10-month courses, it is possible to make up for up to 5 lessons, always evaluating the most suitable arrangements together.

For more complex situations or special cases, we invite you to contact us directly; we will find the best solution together.

What results can I get from the course?

It depends on the course, but in all cases the goal is concrete.

Those who complete the Beginner course can use the sewing machine independently and take home a completed first project.

Those who complete the Amateur course can tackle complex garments, work on different fabrics, and create their own projects.

Those who complete the Semi-Professional course have a solid, technical, and conscious preparation ready to be used professionally.

We don't promise magic: we promise practical lessons, constant support, and lasting expertise.
