Rasor DD120DT | Three-Phase Cutting Unit

The DD120DT is a three-phase cutting unit suitable for textiles, technical textiles, and composite materials in production processes.

Thanks to its double carbide counterblade, the DD120DT is capable of cutting in both directions (using an inverter). This feature allows for saving one cutting stroke, and thus time, in cross-cut processes. It uses the new Rasor DirectDrive technology, meaning the blade is installed on the same axis as the motor. Therefore, without a gear pair, the DD120DT achieves a blade speed of 2600 rpm, perfect for continuous cutting at very high speeds.

The absence of a gear pair eliminates maintenance processes (e.g., grease lubrication), reducing operating costs and allowing the unit to be used in continuous 24/7 cutting processes. The blade and counterblade cutting system ensures clean and precise cuts, without waste or fraying. The three-phase asynchronous motor is balanced and very quiet, and it is maintenance-free, ensuring reliability over time.

The 120 mm 8-sided blade allows cutting of materials up to 50 mm thick, even in multiple layers. Particularly suitable for cross-cutting, the DD120DT is equipped with a simple anchoring flange for attachment to static or automated brackets.

The cutting base, coated with non-stick Teflon®, allows the machine (or material) to advance with minimal effort, reducing friction, and allows the unit to be installed on sliding rails in confined spaces. The semi-automatic push-button sharpening system allows the blade to be sharpened in less than 10 seconds, without disassembling it.

Minimum maintenance, low operating costs, and bidirectional cutting capability make the DD120DT the reliable cutting solution for high-speed O.E.M. applications.
